first shape trial.

I had difficulty getting the dome on the top and matching it to the angled sides.

I tried looking at different ways for the disk to connect to the base and toyed around with the idea of having it as a separate component that might be transferred to other bases

I also wanted to look at having a glowing circuit pattern to connect it to the torn idea and also represent different buttons

curved mp3 player concept with speakers hidden on the under side. I chose not to continue with this one because I found it very difficult to construct it digitally and also because I couldn't find a way to integrate laser cutting into it.

 this was with an axel made from a circular piece of acrylic that is pinned with a smaller piece of acrylic leaving the outer circle free to move

 I tried experimenting with making a circular switch with acrylic and without using an axel.  the circle is kept in the housing by making the plate beside it surround more than half the circle itself.
